• SIA (Limited Liability Company)
The most common form of business in Latvia. A commercial company, founded by one or more natural or legal persons with capital consisting of shares of the capital;
• AS (Joint Stock Company)
Open Society, whose founders may be one or more persons (natural or legal). The authorized capital of the Company consists of the sum of the nominal value of shares. Shares in turn, are subject to public traffic;
• IK (Individual merchant)
A natural person who has registered their individual economic activity in the commercial register. To make an individual merchant in fixed assets register is not required. Liability of unlimited (meets all of its assets);
• ZS (ZS)
Individual company that produces agricultural products. The main means of production in this case – the land;
• Personal (contract) Company:
- PS (general partnership). The partnership of two or more natural or legal persons associated for implementing the common commercial activity. The responsibility of all owners of the creditors is complete. A partnership is created on the basis of the memorandum of association among its members;
- KS (Limited Partnership). The partnership of two or more natural or legal persons associated for implementing the common commercial activity. Responsible for at least one participant (limited partner), limited by the size of his contribution, the responsibility of the other comrades (complementors) to creditors is unlimited;
• Biedrība (the Company)
An association of persons, based to achieve a certain goal in the statute which do not have a profit. The founders of the company may be at least two individuals or legal entities, as well as the legal capacity of the partnership. Company after is entered into the register of companies and institutions receives the status of a legal entity.
